EMERALD LACE
Bill Waldrop 2010
[(Leslie Renee x Angels Gather Around) x (Leslie Renee x Angels Gather Around)]
Sev. Tetraploid. Early blooms. 27" tall, 3-way branching, 18 buds, 6" flower.
My good friend, David Williams, set me on the path that led to the name, EMERALD LACE. It has a deep green throat, with a pink polychrome overlay across its petals and sepals. It also has an authentic, beautiful and lush green edge on its petals. Indeed, this green edge is distinctive and just plain stunning and gorgeous. EMERALD LACE differs from IRISH HALO because EMERALD LACE has more "green-lace" on its petals, it has a slightly larger flower and its petals have a "creped-appearance." It is my prediction that EMERALD LACE will become the parent of many green edged daylilies. Pod and pollen fertile.
