Grapesicle

GRAPESICLE

Bill Waldrop 2009

(Kennesaw Mountain Darkness x Tet. Indian Giver)
Tet. Dormant. Early to midseason blooms. 33” tall, 5” flower, three and four way branching, 28 buds.

When GRAPESICLE bloomed I was so thrilled because, again, I had good success in using pollen from Tet. Indian Giver. GRAPESICLE has a grape popsicle color along with a lavender edge on both its petals and sepals. It has a watermark of lighter purple. Its green eye enhances its purple colors. When I was a child a truck would come through the neighborhood and sell ice cream. I always liked the popsicles. So, I decided to give the name GRAPESICLE to this lovely daylily. Pod and pollen fertile.
