THE STING!
Bill Waldrop 2014
(Wild Hair x Fantastic Fringe).
Sev. Tet. Early blooms. 37” tall, 4-way branching, 24 buds, 5” flower.
THE STING! When this flower first bloomed in the Greenhouse it was lovely, but not until it spent a winter outside, and then encountered the summer heat did it truly express its beauty. It takes the summer heat for the "teeth" on both the petals and the sepals to truly be like the stinger on a bee. I chose the name and included an exclamation point as part of the name because the teeth on the flower are so remarkable. Limited supply. Pod and pollen fertile.
